Ashutosh was enrolled as an Advocate in the year 2008. He holds a post-graduate diploma in “Cyber Laws” from Amity Law School, New Delhi. He is presently pursuing “Masters in Business Laws” from National Law School India University, Bangalore.

Ashutosh has been involved in diverse areas of corporate law including formation of equity joint-ventures and multi-jurisdictional merger and restructuring. He has assisted foreign clients in setting up wholly-owned subsidiaries and/or joint-venture companies in the form of strategic alliances with existing Indian companies. Additionally, he has experience in and advises clients on other methods of doing business in India including through establishment of liaison and branch offices. Upon successful formation, he counsels the firm’s clients with the post-incorporation routine day-to-day corporate activities of an Indian company be it transfer of shares amongst Indians and foreigners, preparation of Board and shareholders meetings as well as minutes, apart from securing the various regulatory approvals. Ashutosh regularly interfaces with the Indian regulatory authorities both at the Central and state level in order to ensure that the clients of the firm are able to carry out business effectively and in compliance with the applicable laws.

Working for technology clients, he assists them on information technology regulations in India, including security and privacy issues surrounding Indian IT, and privacy issues in India generally. He has done substantial research in the regulation of foreign contributions with special emphasis on provisions dealing with non-profit organizations in India.

Ashutosh regularly contributes to the firm’s newsletters and articles with a focus on contractual relations between multi-jurisdictional parties and their enforcement. He has recently co-authored the article captioned “Drastic changes needed to implement ethical conduct” published in the India Business Law Journal in March 2009.
