Bhavani Navaneedhan enrolled as an advocate in 2013 and completed her Master of Laws (LLM.) in Intellectual Property Laws from Ohio State University, Columbus, USA in 2015.
As a young lawyer, and prior to post graduation she practiced with a law firm in Chennai focusing on civil and business law matters. During her time there, she conducted research and drafted legal opinions on varied laws including consumer protection copyright, contract, corporate governance and property law issues and assisted senior counsel in a public interest litigation filed against Government of Pondicherry.
Upon completion of her masters’ she gained practical experience in two different organizations – first, she worked with a Government funded NGO in Columbus, Ohio, where she assisted and advised clients on bankruptcy and consumer law matters. Thereafter, she was employed with a software services company in Chicago for around 6 months; and was involved in drafting master service agreements, employment contracts, and advising company employees on immigration law matters.
After returning to India, she worked with a boutique IP firm in Chennai mainly concentrating on advising clients on trademark registration and infringement issues.
During her law school days, she has participated in national level moot competitions and published articles online in LAWMAN.NET.IN and Academicia.edu.
As an associate at PSA, she is assisting her seniors across varied commercial and dispute resolution matters.
