Janarth Visvanathan graduated from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur in 2016. Immediately upon graduating, he joined TPM Consultants in their international trade law team. He has advised companies and conglomerates across sectors such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, petrochemicals, consumer goods, infrastructure and textiles on issues pertaining to international trade remedies, WTO law and international trade policy. He regularly appeared before the Directorate General of Anti Dumping and Allied Duties (DGAD), Central Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal and the High Court of Delhi in connection with the levy of duty, circumvention of levied duty, mid-term review of levied duty and sunset review of duty arising in relation to anti-dumping, countervailing, safeguard duties and for other international trade remedy proceedings arising under the Customs Act, 1962. Additionally, he also worked on policy aspects and recommended amendments in international trade policy and legislation to the DGAD and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

At PSA, he assists senior lawyers across various practice areas with a prime focus on corporate and commercial law, M&A, trade law, intellectual property law, real estate law, and data privacy law. He regularly advises clients in the healthcare, e-commerce, and technology space and regularly contributes to the firm’s bulletins and newsletters.
