Aprajaya completed her graduation in law in 1994 and possesses 12 years
expereince. She is enrolled as an Advocate in India and also as a non-practicing solicitor in
England. She has immense experience in corporate, civil, intellectual property laws,
regulatory issues and international arbitration.
As a senior associate, she has been responsible for advising clients in Europe,
United States, Asia (in telecom, energy, automobile, pharmaceutical, infrastructure,
information technology, space, aerospace) and co-coordinating with Indian corporations as
well as regulatory authorities. Her work experience includes advising clients on procedure
and mode of entry into India including assessing regulatory permissions required and
liaising with the relevant government authorities in connection with the aforesaid. She has
also counseled US clients in their disinvestment activities and has successfully closed deals
involving sale of shares in listed companies. She has been involved in negotiations with
Indian Space authorities and government companies in telecom and aeronautiques on
behalf of the firm's clients.
Aprajaya has led and actively conducted due diligence and legal audits of Indian
companies in connection with acquisition/sale by foreign companies. She has substantial
experience in structuring, drafting and reviewing contracts pertaining inter alia to joint
venture, transfer of technology, shareholders, share/asset transfer, software licensing, lease
of premises/ equipment, manufacturing/ management services, licence of trade mark,
patent and design
Prior to working with PSA, Aprajaya's association as a legal officer with Wockhardt
limited, a Mumbai based pharmaceutical company gave her immense exposure to
intellectual property matters of the company including registration/renewal of trade marks,
drafting legal notices and pleadings in connection with infringement/passing off of trade
marks/patent. At the start of her professional career, she has also worked as a legal
assistant at Ajay Sahni & Associates; Delhi based trademark & patent attorneys, and was
involved in suits pertaining to infringement of intellectual property laws.

Publications
Aprajaya has co-authored an article on Data Protection – The Legal Solution, published
in the Silicon India magazine.
She has also authored chapters on "Open Source and M&As" and "Technical Collaboration" in
two books written by the firm, respectively titled "Open Source and the Law" and
"FDI Notifications: An Anthology" published by LexisNexis Butterworths in India.
