Ankush was enrolled as an Advocate in the year 2011 after completing his B.Sc. LL.B (Hons.) from Gujarat National Law University. He assists senior lawyers of the firm in a wide range of corporate and commercial matters with focus on M&A and infrastructure.
Prior to his enrollment and during his 5 years at law school he interned for around 14 months with various law firms in India including PSA. During this time his exposure included, assistance in preparation of a due diligence report for acquisition in a non-banking financial company and drafting of an EPC contract for a power plant project in Sri Lanka.
At PSA, as part of a team he advises foreign clients on entry strategies in India and various competition and contract law related issues. Ankush counsels clients with post-incorporation routine day-to-day corporate activities of an Indian company including transfer of shares amongst Indians and foreigners, preparation of Board and shareholders meetings, and securing various regulatory approvals. Additionally, he also assists in review and drafting of various commercial contracts.
His specific areas of practice include general corporate advisory, project finance, M&A, infrastructure, banking, joint-ventures, collaborations, franchising, and a range of other corporate and commercial transactions.
Ankush regularly contributes to the firm’s newsletters, legal alerts, bulletins and in-house presentations. Ankush operates out of the firm’s Chennai office.
