Priyatha has been a part of the firm since she qualified and was admitted to practice in 2006 and has good experience in general corporate, commercial, and transactional matters. She has Bachelors degrees in Economics and Law from University of Delhi. She also holds diplomas in "Intellectual Property Rights and Information Technology" and "Information Technology".

As a business lawyer, she provides day-to-day legal advice and services, principally to industrial and commercial clients of the firm on matters including contracts, intellectual property, regulatory compliances, employment law, competition and general corporate, commercial law. Priyatha regularly works in business formation, transactions, and governance, in finance law and in international transactions. She has been involved in formation of equity joint ventures via acquisitions and/or green-field, wholly-owned subsidiaries, joint venture negotiations, reviewed joint venture contracts, and ancillary agreements. She has also worked on venture capital transactions and multi-jurisdictional acquisition and restructuring of companies.

Priyatha has diverse experience in sectors ranging from Pharma to aviation. She has worked extensively on clinical trial regulations in India and closely advised a leading US-based pharmaceutical company on clinical trial laws in India. She has good experience in the aviation sector and advised clients on matters such as regulations on Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul of aircraft engines, import-export of engines, customs bonding. She is also well versed with immigration laws.

Additionally, Priyatha counsels clients on the procedures for registration and protection of foreign trademarks, assisted in registration of foreign trademarks and copyrights in India. She has experience on labor related matters as well including drafting employment contracts and preparing legal opinions for several clients including a top real estate consultancy company of the world.

Priyatha regularly contributes to the firm’s newsletters and bulletins and has written articles on M&As and private equity which have been published in Journals like Asia Law India Investor and India Business Law Journal.

Prior to this, Priyatha has worked in a law firm which specialized in anti-dumping and international trade laws.
