Tanya was enrolled as an Advocate in the year 2008. Prior to joining PSA, Tanya has practiced as a litigator and was exposed to a number of legal forums such as the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, the Company Law Board, the Appellate Electricity Tribunal and the National Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission. She has assisted Senior Advocates by briefing them for various matters listed in different forums, provided assistance in drafting writ petitions, Special Leave Petitions and various pleadings. She has also been involved in an arbitration that involved a hydro electric multi purpose power project.
Additionally, she has also worked on various trademark and copyright related matters involving filing, opposition as well as disputes. She has assisted in drafting several agreements notably for infrastructure projects including concession agreement for a port project, share purchase agreements, etc.
Tanya assists the firm’s clients on numerous legal issues ranging from foreign exchange, regulatory, labor laws and risk evaluation under different legislations. She has worked on various foreign exchange matters concerning the RBI and FIPB. She has also worked with the Nepal Rastra Bank for specific exchange related issues. Her industry focus has been in telecommunication and manufacturing.
Tanya also contributes to the firm’s newsletters, bulletins and in house presentations regularly.
